Description

This nebula is one of the famous ones in the Northern Skies - very attractive and needs a lot, really a lot of accumulation time to get the squid (some call it "flying bat", some "blue cigar" as well and not only the rather bright Ha nebula. In this image, I combined the Ha/OIII nebula with LRGB stars for the best possible star color. Processing in PixInsight and Photoshop - Ha and OIII separate and LRGB separate.
For the final image, a quality selection of the raw frames was necessary, resulting in about 85% of the acquired frames which were used for processing and finishing.
